Many Authors are doing Audiobooks and we can help you!
Changing a vertical book cover into a square while keeping the integrity of your cover for an audio book is not as simple as cropping your cover. The artist who designed your cover will take the elements of your cover and revise the layout to fit a 2400x2400 @72 dpi square.

To order audio cover, please send us your cover and if you wish, include the Narrator’s name if you want it included on your cover. The fee is $75.

PLEASE NOTE: Important Copyright information!
The cover is yours and you can to do what you want with it—for example, you can put it on bookmarks, in ads, make a trade booth, giant posters, post cards, put it on business cards—you name it. The cover is yours. However, the individual images that were used within the cover, to create your cover as a whole, are copyrighted by the photographers from the stock houses…and they have strict rules about the use of their images and who uses or changes/manipulates the images.

The Artist that created your cover bought the non-exclusive rights (which means other artists may also purchase the same photo) from the stock houses to use and manipulate those images. Those rights are non-transferable. Bottom line, the Artist has the right (through the licensing agreement when the photos were purchased to design your cover) to use/manipulate the images for your cover. Not you, or a third party. Please do not ask another artist to revise your cover. You do not want to run afoul with the Stock Houses’ licencing. These are their regulations—not ours—which means we cannot change them.

Please understand we are looking out for you by letting you know. Other cover websites might not tell you this information, but the rules remain the same nonetheless among the various stock photo houses, and therefore for any cover you may purchase that is made up of stock photos, no matter where you bought the cover. This isn’t just a SelfPubBookCovers issue—it’s a general cover issue you need to know as an indie author!
